Raquell Holmes is the founder and director of improvScience. She is also an Assistant Research Professor at both the Center for Cell Analysis and Modeling at University of Connecticut Health Center and the Center for Computational Science, Boston University. She has simultaneously trained at the East Side Institute of New York in using improvisational theater and performance to build collaborative learning environments with adults in scientific communities. Her academic focus is to increase our understanding of biological systems at the cellular level through the use of modeling, simulation and visualization tools. She works with computational and experimental scientists and educators throughout the country.
