Kyla McMullen

Science and Engineering
Kyla McMullen is in
the final phase of the Computer Science and Engineering doctoral program at the
University of Michigan. Her work focuses on Human Computer Interaction, specifically
in auditory interfaces. She is investigating the use of spatial audio in the
development of spatial mental maps to increase situational awareness for
operators in dynamic, limited sight, divided attention environments. Kyla is
from Washington DC, and obtained her B.S. in Computer Science as a Meyerhoff
Scholar at the University of Maryland, Baltimore County. She obtained her
Master’s degree in Computer Science and Engineering from the University of
Michigan.
