Tony Baylis is the Workforce Manager in the Computation
Directorate at LLNL. Tony is responsible for managing and
coordinating many workforce efforts, including recruiting new
employees, collaborating with senior managers in helping
employees find new assignments within the directorate, and
overseeing the student and summer visitor program. Â
Tony is committed to several professional volunteer
activities. Tony has served as the Registration Chair for the
Richard Tapia Computing Conference since 2003. He is currently
serving in this role for 2011. Tony has been actively involved
with other organizations as well. He was an Executive
Committee Member for ACM SIGGRAPH as the organization’s
Treasurer and Director-at-Large. He has been a NSF reviewer
for the Broadening Participation in Computing Program. And he
is currently serving as an Advisory Board Member for the
Alliance for the Advancement of African American Researchers
in Computing and the Caribbean Computing Center for
Excellence
