Hasan Jackson 

Hasan Jackson is a doctoral candidate in the Department of Geographical Sciences at the University of Maryland, College Park and is currently collaborating with several researchers at NASA responsible for launching satellite systems. His research merges vast quantities of remotely sensed satellite data, spatial patterns of terrestrial and plant ecology, and human land use decision making into monitoring and mapping the influence of anthropogenic activities around the world. Super computing would allow him to monitor the consequences of global land management policies in real time. 

In his free time Hasan enjoys participation in food recovery efforts which provide food for the less fortunate.
