Empowering Leadership: Computing Scholars of Tomorrow Alliance

Robert Hernandez is a current Freshman studying Computer Science and Japanese at the University of California, Berkeley. He was born and raised in Salinas, California where he attended elementary through high school. Through doing track and field, competing and winning the robotics olympics at a local community college, and through support programs such as RISE(recruitment in science education), he gained the opportunity to achieve the Berkeley Incentive Awards, a full-ride scholarship to attend Berkeley. Currently, he is part of HES (hispanic engineering and science) and PDP (professional development program) to improve his networking for more engineering opportunities, and hopes that the Tapia conference experience and further that, along with the help through ELA(EL Alliance).
