Empowering Leadership: Computing Scholars of Tomorrow Alliance

My name is Mila'na Jones. I was born and raised in the small town of Mansfield, LA. I spent my last two years of high school at the Louisiana School for Math, Science, and the Arts, which is a public, residential high school in North Louisiana, where I became interested in the field of chemistry. I decided to attend Xavier University of Louisiana because of the PREM Program, which allowed me to begin research the summer before my freshman year of college. The research that I began a little over a year ago pertains to thin-film lithium ion microbatteries. I enjoy doing materials science research because I love the application side of things.
