Originally from El Paso, Texas, Ruben Ortega is a Graduate Research Associate at The Ohio State University where he is working towards his PhD in Electrical and Computer Engineering.  Ruben is a recipient of the prestigious Dean's Graduate Enrichment Fellowship at OSU.  His research interests include computational methods applied to the field of electromagnetics.  Currently, Ruben is working with Professor Robert Lee on developing hybrid Finite-Difference Time-Domain methods for use in solving large EM problems.  Ruben received his MSEE in 2006 from New Mexico State University and his BSEE in 2004 with honors, also from NMSU.
